Westampton, NJ – Paris Business Products, a leading paper and business
products printer and converter, has seen a dramatic increase in the number of
jumbo roll orders from its customers. In response to this increased demand,
Paris acquired several pieces of high-volume production equipment during 2009.
The installation of this equipment has enabled Paris to increase capacity as
well as improve efficiencies in its production plant and warehousing facilities.
“Increased customer demand for printed and blank jumbo rolls has been the
catalyst for Paris acquiring additional production equipment,” states Gerry
Toscani, CEO of Paris Business Products. “The presses, rewinders, wrappers and
other components have helped us expand our capacity, produce rolls more
efficiently, and improve turnaround times to our customers. This is a win-win
for Paris and our customers.”
Paris’ equipment acquisition is already paying dividends for some customers.
Just recently, working with one of its paper merchant customers in the Midwest,
Paris delivered the first two truckload shipments of PrintWorks Professional
jumbo rolls to a large print services provider. The initial transaction took a
few months to work out the end-user’s specific requirements and logistics, but
once the details were complete, Paris’ production department turned around the
first shipment in a matter of days. Additional truckload shipments have now been
scheduled throughout 2010.
“We have modified our warehousing facilities to accommodate enough space for
hundreds of jumbo rolls,” states Don Showmaker, Plant Manager for Paris Business
Products. “This allows us to more quickly and efficiently produce, package,
store and distribute jumbo rolls by the truckload.” Paris has also made
enhancements to its jumbo roll packaging. Improved labeling and stamping helps
end-users more easily identify and prepare rolls to run through their
high-speed, high-volume printers. “More upgrades are in the works,” adds Mr.
Showmaker.
