INDIANAPOLIS, IN—is.group today announced a
successful transition from its former 3PL provider, Synnex Corporation, to
United Stationers. is.group members are now able to order through the is.group
self-distribution model from 31 United Stationers warehouses throughout the
country versus the 3 distribution centers it had contracted with Synnex.
is.group dealers began ordering through this new model on November 16 and within
the first two weeks, United Stationers has distributed over 1500 orders to over
175 is.group dealers to the benefit and excitement of the membership.
Additionally, is.group has over 10 dealers utilizing is.group’s RDC Test Drive
program that allows non-members to take advantage of the benefits of is.group’s
distribution model for a trial time period before joining.
The move to United Stationers enables is.group members to experience a 74%
average reduction in their is.group membership fees. The change also reduces the
group’s operating expenses, while members continue to enjoy the low cost of
goods and payment of 100% of rebates – just a few of the many is.group
membership benefits. Notable is.group value-added programs offered to members
include the “Your Trusted National Choice” National Accounts Program, GSA
Program, is.DForce, BizUnite affinity marketing programs, ASI and the
is.OfficeFurniture Program.
Harry Macey, of Perry Office Plus in Temple, TX,
is very pleased with the RD transition saying, “The fill rate is better and if
the price on our purchase order is incorrect then it is automatically corrected
when I transmit that order. And the ordering process with United Stationers is
extremely easy. When I have all these improvements on top of the lower fees –
It’s just been an awesome experience.
We’ve been an is.group member for a long time. It seems like is.group is always
evolving to meet our needs in an ever-changing market. Once again is.group has
risen to the challenge of giving me more for less. “
“United Stationers’ nationwide distribution network, combined with our depth and
breadth of inventory, provides a powerful complement to is.group members’ local
market presence,” said Tim Connolly, senior vice president, operations, United
Stationers Supply. “is.group members can rely on United Stationers to deliver a
broad range of products with logistics superiority that boosts dealers’ own
service proposition and a commitment to quality that enhances their reputation.”
